Stop the Leak. Fix the Source. Not Just the Symptom.
We find where water is actually entering - not where it's appearing inside - and fix it properly. Flashing, decking, pipe boots, ridge, valley. Done once, done right.
Common Repair Types
Flashing Failure
Step flashing, counter flashing, chimney flashing, and skylight flashing are responsible for the majority of roof leaks. We replace failed flashing - we don't just caulk it.
Pipe Boot Replacement
Rubber pipe boots crack and shrink after 10–15 years in Idaho's temperature swings. A cracked boot is a direct water entry point. New boot, sealed properly - problem solved.
Ridge & Hip Repair
Wind-displaced or missing ridge cap is common after Treasure Valley windstorms. We re-nail and seal ridge cap with proper nailing patterns and correct overlap.
Valley Repair
Open metal valleys and woven valley shingles fail differently. We identify the failure mode and repair to manufacturer spec - not with caulk and a prayer.
Shingle Repair / Partial Replacement
Isolated blown-off shingles, cracked shingles, or isolated hail damage not meeting insurance threshold - repaired with matching materials and full sealing.
Decking Repair
Rotted or delaminated decking discovered during repair is replaced with code-compliant sheathing. We don't re-shingle over compromised substrate.
Ventilation Correction
Blocked soffit vents, inadequate ridge ventilation, and bathroom exhaust venting into the attic all cause moisture damage. We diagnose and correct ventilation issues.
Ice Dam Damage
When ice dams form at eaves, water backs up under shingles and into the structure. We repair the resulting damage and address the ventilation or insulation issue causing ice dam formation.
We'll Tell You When Repair Is - and Isn't - the Right Answer
Not every leak warrants a repair. Not every old roof needs to be replaced. The right answer depends on the roof's remaining useful life, the extent of damage, and your financial situation.
Repair Makes Sense When:
- ✓Roof has 10+ years of useful life remaining
- ✓Damage is isolated to one or two areas
- ✓Insurance claim doesn't meet replacement threshold
- ✓Structural integrity is sound throughout
- ✓Shingle granule coverage is adequate in field areas
Replacement Makes Sense When:
- →Roof is near or past its expected lifespan
- →Damage is widespread across multiple slopes
- →Insurance has declared a total loss
- →Decking shows widespread rot or delamination
- →This is the third repair in five years
Our Honesty Clause
We will never recommend a full roof replacement if repair is the right answer. If your roof has useful life remaining and isolated damage that can be properly repaired, we will tell you that - even if a replacement would be more profitable for us.
Our business is built on repeat customers and referrals. That only works if we earn your trust by giving you the truth, not the upsell.
If we find conditions that change our initial assessment during the repair, we will stop work, show you the evidence, and get your written approval before proceeding with any scope changes. No surprises on the final invoice.
How a Repair Job Works
Leak Diagnosis Inspection
We inspect the roof and attic with moisture meters and visual documentation. We trace the water path - not just the symptom - and identify all contributing factors.
Written Repair Estimate
Itemized quote delivered on-site or within 24 hours. We explain what we found, what we recommend, and what it will cost. You approve everything before we schedule.
Same-Week Scheduling
Most repairs are completed within 3–5 business days. Urgent leak situations - active water entry - are prioritized for same-day or next-day response.
Repair Execution
We perform the repair to manufacturer spec with proper materials. No caulk-only fixes. No temporary patches. If we touch your roof, it leaves correctly.
Documentation & Warranty
Photos before and after. Written warranty on all repair work. You receive a copy of everything we found and everything we did.
We Fix What Needs Fixing. Nothing More.
"If we inspect your roof and determine the honest repair is a patch job, not a full replacement, that is what we will recommend. We do not upsell. We fix what needs to be fixed."
